Another day at the lake!

WHAT A GREAT START TO SUMMER!!!!!!

Most of you know already, but we purchased a boat! We are so excited!!! It's going to be such a great thing for our family. We will have a blast!!!! Here are some pictures of the new boat.....

Today was the first day we took it out. Of course, Matt and I were a little nervous about launching and getting it back up on the trailer at the end of the day! The launching went WONDERFUL!!!! I must say that Matt has really impressed me with the boat. He had never done any of this, and he did it with little error!!! We had such a blast the entire day! The kids (and adults) rode on "Big Bertha", sunbathed, jumped off, swam, floated, and ate all day long!!!! The kids REALLY enjoyed themselves. Alyssa was little hesitant at the beginning, but warmed up very quickly. She didn't ride the tube, but maybe next time. She actually decided she was tired and took an hour nap at one point :) It was so nice to just cruise the lake and hang out with family! Little Pepe came with us. He even has his own doggy life jacket. I'm not sure if he knew what to think, but he will get better each time we go out.

Then it was time to load the boat back on the trailer.............there always has to be a hard part to the day :) Michael went with Matt and I to assist. Steering a boat with two engines is a challenge itself. However, mother nature decided to get a good laugh and make it windy!!!! Luckily there was a nice guy who came over to assist us, while others just watched:) NOW we know how to do it!!!!! At least we were still laughing at ourselves!!

Overall, we could not have had a better first day on the new boat!!! We can't wait to go out again. I can't wait to ski next time, and teach Matt to ski!!!! I'm sure we'll have lots more pictures to come!!!!
